
Clinical Instructor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences
Dr. Amy Layman is a clinical instructor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She is an optometrist who is an expert in fitting specialized contact lenses, including keratoconic and bifocal lenses. She has a special interest in primary eye care, especially pediatric and diabetic eye care.
Dr. Layman received a degree in optometry from Indiana University. She completed her education with externships at Commonwealth Eye Services (Lexington, Kentucky), Ireland Army Hospital (Fort Knox, Kentucky) and Indianapolis Eye Care Center (Indianapolis, Indiana).
