University of Maryland Medical System Blood Drive on November 17

When: Tuesday, November 17, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Where: University Maryland Medical Center at 22 S. Greene Street

Who: All eligible donors; the blood drive is open to the public.

On Tuesday, November 17, the UM Medical System will be hosting a community blood drive from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the University of Maryland Medical Center. The blood drive will take place on the first floor hallway near the Gudelsky Information Desk.

All donors are welcome; you don't have to be a Medical Center employee to do your part. There is a need for all types of blood 365 days of the year, and you can give blood once every 56 days.

Who Can Give Blood?

The blood drive is open to the public, and all eligible donors are welcome. To give blood, you must:

Be in generally good health
Be at least 17 years old, or 16 with parental consent
Weigh no less than 110 pounds
NOT have gotten a tattoo within the past year
NOT have donated blood within the past 56 days
