You may think youre ephedra-free, but ephedra and ephedra compounds are found in many products. Below are two lists that can help you see where you stand one of ingredients you may find on a product label indicating ephedra compounds, and the other a list of some products that contain ephedra. Plus, there's another list -- of herbs and supplements with significant caffeine content -- which is important because combining caffeine with ephedra significantly increases the risk of adverse side effects.
Note that some of these products may no longer contain ephedra, or have an ephedra-free version, a result of negative publicity surrounding ephedra in light of the recent death of Orioles pitching prospect Steve Bechler.
Note: It is also important to know that many ephedra products also contain caffeine or other stimulants; and that combination dramatically increases the chances of adverse side effects.
