A total of 16 University of Maryland doctors, all members of the UM School of Medicine faculty, were selected in Baltimore Magazine's 2008 list of Top Doctors. These doctors are listed below, by specialty.
The results are based on a Baltimore Magazine survey of more than 2,000 doctors in the Baltimore area, asking where they would send a member of their family in each of 69 specialties. All doctors who made the list are accepting new patients.
