Driving Directions
The University of Maryland Medical Center (22 South Greene Street) is easy to reach from Interstates 95, 97, 70 and 83 and the Baltimore Beltway, I-695. Flying:
Baltimore Washington International (BWI) Airport is located 20 minutes from downtown by taxi. Public transportation is available via light rail from the airport to downtown. Washington D.C. airports, including Reagan National Airport and Dulles International Airport are alternative airports, however traffic between Washington and Baltimore can be quite heavy.
Discounted rates may be available at the Radisson Plaza Lord Baltimore at $92.00/night. You may use valet parking at the hotel or nearby parking facilities. In case the Radisson is booked, you can choose from a list of other hotels that offer special discounts for Department of Medicine applicants. You can also check with other hotels in Baltimore that offer a UM Preferred rate.
Parking
On the morning of your interview, applicants should park in the Grand Garage at 5 North Paca Street just north of Baltimore Street. Bring your parking ticket with you so we can validate it. We can only pay for your parking in the Grand Garage. Exit the garage, turn left on Paca Street (south toward Camden Yards), make a right on Baltimore Street, and cross Greene Street to the main entrance of the hospital.
Interview
Interviews are held in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology offices, Room N3W62. Come to the main entrance of the University of Maryland Medical Center at 22 South Greene Street. Take the main elevators in the lobby (North Hospital) to the third floor. Turn toward the main corridor and turn left, then immediate left again. The offices are on your right.
