At the Maryland Heart Center, we offer the full range of services for patients with arrhythmias or any related symptoms. Patients are treated by experts in the research, diagnosis, and treatment of arrhythmias.

Our physicians consult on patients with the following conditions:

• Arrhythmias -- any type
• Palpitations
• Syncope or lightheadedness
• Weakness and fatigue due to slow heart rhythms
• Cardiac arrest survivors
• Congestive heart failure
• Patients at risk for arrhythmias

We offer evaluations, tests and treatments to best meet our patients' needs. These include:

• Electrophysiologic studies to evaluate the conduction system and arrhythmia potential
• Tilt table studies
• Implantation and evaluations of pacemakers
• Implantation and evaluations of implantable defibrillators
• Implantation and evaluation of bi-ventricular pacing devices for congestive heart failure
• Cardioversion for atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter
• Ablation to cure most arrhythmias
• Surgical treatment (MAZE procedure) of atrial fibrillation.
