Instructions for Tilt Table Test

Tilt Table Test
  • Do not eat or drink anything after midnight the night before your test.
  • A secretary will call to give you the date and time of your test. She will mail you a packet of information about the test and directions to the Electrophysiology Lab (testing area).
  • A nurse will call and tell you what medicine you should or should not take before your test.
  • You may drive to and from your test.
  • The test itself takes 40 minutes, but plan to be here 2 to 3 hours (IV, paperwork, talking with the doctor).
  • Please let the nurse know when she calls if you weigh over 250 pounds.
