Program Objectives
To fully learn the indications, contradictions, risks, limitations, sensitivity,
specificity, and predictive accuracy, and appropriate techniques for evaluating
patients with a wide variety of rhythm disorders including:
- Sinus node dysfunction;
- Differentiation of sinus node dysfunction from chronotropic incompetence
- Role of noninvasive testing (stress tests and Holter monitoring)
- Role of invasive testing and measured parameters (SACT, SNRT, etc.)
- AV node dysfunction;
- Role of noninvasive evaluation (Holter, ECG, Event and Loop Recorders)
- Use of invasive testing (Intracardiac intervals, AV node curves, Implantable
Loop Recorders etc.)
- Appropriate use of pharmacologic agents
- Indications for temporary and permanent pacemakers
