Mitral Valve Repair Rates: University of Maryland vs. National Average

Cardiac surgeons at the University of Maryland Heart Center are now repairing about 92 percent of all mitral valves (see chart, left), compared to the national mitral valve repair rate of about 55 percent (see chart, right).
