Screening Tests

To establish a diagnosis a series of tests are performed that show how well a person's heart and lungs are working. Tests may include:

• ECG
• Chest x-ray
• Echocardiogram
• Pulmonary function tests
• Nuclear lung scan
• CT scan of the chest
• Right Cardiac catheterization
• 6 minute walk distance test
