Cardiothoracic Transplant

The cardiothoracic transplant program offers comprehensive evaluation and state-of-the-art treatment options for Maryland Heart Center patients, based on an integrated team approach. From pre-transplant tests through post-surgical appointments, patients have access to a wide range of specialists, and the comfort of knowing that a consistent core group of professionals will be directly responsible for their care.

Patient education and participation is important to the transplant team, both before and after transplant, and is a major focus of our patient care efforts.
