Gudelsky 6 - Cardiac
Surgery Telemetry
When patients leave
the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after heart surgery, they will go to Gudelsky
6. Sometimes they will be admitted here for evaluation or prior to their
heart surgery.
Gudelsky 6 is a 24-bed
unit made up of private rooms, some of them large enough to accommodate
an overnight family member. The bathrooms are equipped with handicap-level
toilets and walk-in showers with seats and removable hand-held nozzle.
Telemetry heart monitoring
is standard care after surgery. Nurses monitor patients closely and any
patient needs are met promptly. A patient will also have a nurse extender
to help.
