EKG

Cardiology patients come to the third floor of the Gudelsky Building for EKGs, holter monitors and event records. EKG testing is a noninvasive diagnostic heart test that records a graph of the heart's electrical impulses. The EKG can show abnormalities in the presence of heart disease.

Holter monitoring is a noninvasive procedure that requires the patient to wear a recording monitor for 24 hours. A technician will scan the recording and forward the results to the cardiologist.
