The Joslin Diabetes Center at University of Maryland Medicine is one of an elite group of affiliate centers of the world-renowned Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston. Named for its founder, Dr. Elliott Joslin, the Boston center opened in 1898 and has been the nation's premier center for diabetes research, treatment and education for 100 years.
