Cost/Payment Policy

At University Laser Vision Center, our experienced doctors perform laser vision correction surgery using state-of-the-art procedures at surprisingly affordable prices, which are detailed below.

No-Cost Screening

At this appointment you will have the opportunity to speak wih the doctor one-to-one and discuss your individual situation. This will help you to understand if you are a good candidate for laser vision correction and which option would be best for you. This screening includes a reading of your eyeglass prescription or a computerized measurement of your focusing status.

Comprehensive Evaluation ($145)

This extensive evaluation may take 2 to 3 hours and includes refraction, computerized mapping of your corneal surface and a complete dilated eye exam. Doctors Rutzen and Hemady will perform your critical measurements personally.
If you wear soft contact lenses, they should be out for at least 10 days. If you wear rigid contact lenses, they should be out for at least 3 weeks.

Surgical Procedures

  1. Conventional LASIK (Starting at $1,150 per eye depending on treatment parameters)
    The cost of the procedure includes the treatment itself and the follow-up care for one year. This includes the laser treatment procedure, postoperative eye drops and postoperative examinations during the first year after treatment. In the unlikely event that a second treatment is required within the first 24 months, a $200 per eye facility fee will be charged.

  2. CustomVue LASIK ($2,900 per eye)
    Using CustomVue indivualized laser vision correction, Drs. Rutzen and Hemady first perform a WaveScan analysis of your focusing and plan an indivualized laser treatment in order to correct imperfections with greater accuracy then ever before. The cost of the procedure includes your personalized WavePrint, laser treatment, postoperative eye drops and postoperative appointments for the first year after your treatment. In the event a second treatment is required within the first 24 months a $400 per eye facility fee will be charged.

Payment Policy/Options

A number of financing plans are available. Options include a same-as-cash for 6- and 12-month terms, and an installment loan over 24, 36 or 48 or 60 months for as low as $68 a month.
