The Leapfrog Group has named the University of Maryland Medical Center as one of the nation's best hospitals for patient safety and quality of care for the seventh year in a row. UMMC is one of only two hospitals nationwide to have met Leapfrog's criteria each year since 2006, and was recently named a Leapfrog Hospital of the Decade for patient safety and quality.
