The Maryland Prostate Center was founded in 1992 as a center of excellence
for the treatment of prostate disease. Board certified urologists at the Maryland
Prostate Center (MPC) offer state-of-the-art consultations for men suffering
from benign prostatic hyperplasia (prostate enlargement), prostate cancer and
prostatitis.
Patients at MPC receive information and advice about their prostate disease
process, and when necessary, diagnostic testing and treatment for prostate disease.
We offer the most advanced treatment available for non-cancerous prostate disease
and for prostate cancer, including:
- Minimally invasive treatments for prostate enlargement
- Close monitoring of any abnormal prostate condition to assure early detection
- Robotic-assisted, laparoscopic and laser-assisted surgery
- Access to innovative prostate cancer treatment, including radioactive seeding of prostate tumors and new drugs for treatment of advanced prostate cancer
The Maryland Prostate Center is part of the University of Maryland School of
Medicine and is staffed by urologists on the medical school faculty.
