To: MMCIP Insured Physicians/Licensed Independent Practitioners

Re: Conditions of Professional Liability Insurance Coverage

Maryland Medicine Comprehensive Insurance Program requires, as a condition of professional liability insurance coverage, that candidates attend:

Risk Management Reappointment Education minimally every two years consistent with reappointment through your medical staff office.
Note that Risk Management Orientation is due within three months of employment. If this requirement has not yet been met, it will also be required at this time.

Please call the main MMCIP office at 410-328-4704 to pre-register for a class. You may attend a class at any of the University of Maryland Medical System hospitals.

Reappointment education may also be completed on line. (This option is not available for orientation.)

If you prefer this option, please contact Ms. Leslie Hlongwane at 410-328-4704 and instructions will be e-mailed to you.
Once completed, please fax a copy of your printed CEU certificate to Ms. Hlongwane at 410-328-0568.
