In this six-minute video, trauma survivor JR Black shares the story of the accident that resulted in him sustaining numerous traumatic injuries, and subsequently, joining the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center's "Trauma Survivors Network." In February 2009, Black fell asleep while he was driving. He crashed his car was ejected through the windshield, landing approximately 90 feet from where his car crashed. Here, he talks about his memories surrounding the accident as well as his thoughts about both the physical and emotional healing process.
