Playlists: pediatric cardiology non invasive imaging heart disease dr. alicia chaves alicia chaves
Pediatric cardiologist, Dr. Alicia Chaves, discusses the role of non-invasive imaging in diagnosing children with heart disease, both before birth and into childhood. Diagnostic tools have improved to allow doctors to look from outside of the child's body and see the heart, so children no longer have to receive anesthesia or undergo other more invasive procedures to help diagnose their disease. Dr. Chaves specializes in identifying heart disease with babies in utero and working with the obstetrician and parents to determine the best care plan for that baby after birth and into childhood.
