Children's heart surgeon, Dr. Sunjay Kaushal, adds depth to the Children's Heart Program by performing complex surgeries on pediatric patients with congenital heart conditions. By adding Dr. Kaushal's surgical capabilities to the Children's Heart Program, the Children's Hospital can now perform complex procedures that previously would have required families to seek care outside of Maryland. He discusses what parents really want to know when their child needs heart surgery and how they should take comfort in knowing the nurses, physicians and surgeons within the Children's Heart Program specialize in caring full-time for pediatric patients with complex heart conditions.
