In this six-minute video, Sharon Henry, M.D., F.A.C.S., an assistant professor of surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and trauma surgeon at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, talks about her role in the University of Maryland Medical Center's ongoing earthquake relief mission to Haiti. She discusses the living conditions in the devastated country as well as the significant losses the Haitian people have had to overcome during the past weeks.
Dr. Henry also sheds some light on the important role UMMC continues to play in ongoing relief efforts through its medical missions. She mentions the desperate medical needs faced by those injured as a result of the earthquake and commends UMMC for its commitment to the cause.
