In this four-minute video featuring Reverend Susan Roy, Chair of the Pastoral Care Services Department at the University of Maryland Medical Center, viewers are given an overview of the Medical Center's "Faithful Friends" pet visitation program which makes it possible for those individuals who are hospitalized for a significant period of time to receive visits from their pets.
Reverend Roy discusses the process that a patient must go through in order to schedule a visit with his/her pet and also provides some background information about the program and how it was started. Making a special appearance in this video is Reverend Roy's own pet, Luther the cat.
