Playlists: tommy forsythe shock trauma center reiki patient stories leukemia laura forsythe hyberbaric chamber alternative medicine
Tommy Forsythe was first treated at the University of Maryland Medical Center for AML and ALL leukemia in February 2008. After a stay at another hospital for a bone marrow transplant, he returned to UMMC for treatment for an infection at the hyperbaric chamber in the Shock Trauma Center. It was there he met Donna Audia, a nurse on Shock Trauma's pain management team and a certified Reiki master who performed Reiki on Tommy. Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation. Not only did this healing modality ease Tommy?s symptoms, but it also inspired him so much that he decided to become a Reiki master himself. Tommy and his mother Laura share their stories in this video.
