On October 29, 2010, the orthopaedic nursing staff at UMMC invited back several patients to celebrate Orthopaedic Nursing Day. In this four-minute video, Ruth Jones, a spinal fusion revision patient, and Carroll and Marie Selby, total knee replacement patients, discuss their experience at UMMC and how it feels to be a part of the nurses' celebration.
Dr. Daniel Gelb, co-director of the University of Maryland Spine Program, performed the spinal fusion revision and Dr. Vincent D. Pellegrini, Jr., chief of orthopaedics at the University of Maryland Medical Center, performed the total knee replacement surgeries.
