Researchers in the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center were instrumental in testing a new image-guided radiotherapy system, known as TrueBeam, that can deliver radiation treatments to cancer patients with sub-millimeter accuracy and in some cases up to 50 percent faster than earlier systems. In this video, Navesh Sharma, M.D., explains this all-digital technology, which is used to treat cancer of the lung, breast, prostate, head and neck, spine and other types of cancer.
