MIS Physicians

University of Maryland physicians have pioneered and performed many of the State's first minimally invasive procedures, and are constantly developing and applying new approaches and technologies in minimally invasive surgery.

As an academic medical center, all of our physicians are faculty members at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. In addition to treating patients, we train both medical students and practicing surgeons in our state-of-the-art teaching laboratory, which includes a 3-D minimally invasive surgery training environment that provides feedback and real-time performance evaluation.
