
Dr. Christopher Bever is a Professsor of Neurology with the Department of Neurology, University of Maryland Medical School and Chief of the Neurology Service at the VA Medical Center in Baltimore. He is Director of the VA Multiple Sclerosis Center of Excellence, East, one of only two such centers in the Veterans Affairs Medical System. He has been with the University of Maryland since 1987.
He has conducted extensive research in symptomatic management of MS with compounds that include 3,4 diaminopyridine and 4-aminopyridine. He is also involved in a research project through the VA Medical System using robotics in patients with arm dysfunction due to hemiparesis. In addition to his research, he has also published numerous articles on many different aspects of MS care.
Dr. Bever sees patients on Tuesday afternoons on the 4th Tuesday of every month at the Neurology Ambulatory Center. Appointments may be made by calling the appointment desk at 410-328-5858.
