Kathleen M. Costello, RN, MS, CRNP, MSCN

Kathy Costello is the Center nurse practitioner and is the MS Program Director for the Maryland Center for Multiple Sclerosis. She been involved in MS care since 1988.

Ms. Costello is an active member of the MS Nursing profession. She was among the founders of the International Organization of Multiple Sclerosis Nurses and served as the president of that organization from 2002-2004. Ms. Costello is extremely active in the education of MS nursing professionals through extensive lecturing and peer development programs. She was instrumental in the development of the certification exam for MS specialists. She has given numerous presentations to patient groups and health care professionals regarding MS care and treatment. She has served on the Professional Education Committee of the NMSS and Clinical Care Committee of the Consortium of MS Centers. She is currently on the editorial board for the International Journal of MS Care.

Ms. Costello sees patients in the Neurology Ambulatory Center on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Appointments can be made to see her by calling the appointment desk at 410-328-5858.
