Woman Gives Part of Liver in Rare Transplant

Approximately 5% of liver transplants each year occur from living donors. The University of Maryland Medical Center is one of only a few centers in the country to offer living donor liver transplants for adult patients.
April Biggs took full advantage of the team's expertise when she donated 60% of her liver to save her "uncle" Charles. Watch their special story as aired on ABC2 News in Baltimore.
