Dina Mallis Klicos Named Chief Development Officer

Dina Mallis Klicos has joined the University of Maryland Medical System as Chief Development Officer for the UMMS Foundation. In this role, Ms. Klicos will have primary responsibility for fundraising priorities at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center and the Shock Trauma Critical Care Tower Campaign at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Ms. Klicos was most recently the Director of Principal and Major Gifts for the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins. During her 14-year tenure at Johns Hopkins, she secured numerous leadership gifts including $20 million for pancreatic cancer and $65 million and $10 million for a new cancer outpatient building as well as significant gifts to support various programs and research efforts.

The UMMS Foundation raises philanthropic funds to help advance the future of health care excellence delivered by the University of Maryland Medical System. Through the development of private and public investments, the UMMS Foundation acts to help the medical system remain a leader in integrated healthcare delivery. Established in March 2000, the Foundation is the central structure for fundraising, stewardship and endowment management.
