Humor Survey: How Well Does Your Sense of Humor Protect You From Heart Disease?

In this questionnaire you will find descriptions of a number of situations in which you may have found yourself from time to time. For each question, please take a moment to recall a time when you were actually in such a situation. If you cannot remember such an experience, try to imagine yourself in such a situation, filling in the details in ways that reflect your own experience. Then circle the letter besides the phrase that best describes the way you have responded or would respond in such a situation.

1. If you were shopping by yourself in a distant city and you unexpectedly saw an acquaintance from school (or work), how have you responded or how would you respond?

  1. I would probably not have bothered to speak to the person.
