Nine specialists at the University of Maryland Medical Center have been named among the best doctors in America by two national consumer publications, American Health magazine and Good Housekeeping Magazine. Chosen by physicians at leading academic medical centers across the U.S., these selections rank University of Maryland physicians among the Ýstanding in the nation.
The "Best Doctors in America" survey in the March issue of American Health is considered to be an exhaustive appraisal of medical practitioners. The physicians were chosen by more than 3,200 peers at some 350 leading academic medical centers. They were asked to whom they would go or send a family member for treatment of problems within their specialty.
