An all-time high 98 University of Maryland doctors, all members of the UM School of Medicine faculty, were recognized as "Top Doctors" in Baltimore Magazine's November issue. These doctors are listed below by specialty. Click on their names to learn more about them or to make an appointment.
The results are based on a Baltimore Magazine survey of nearly 10,000 physicians in the Baltimore area, including Baltimore City and the surrounding seven counties, asking where they would send a member of their family in dozens of specialties. The University of Maryland Medical Center has more doctors on the list than any other hospital.
Also in the November issue are three separate articles about UMMC physicians -- the magazine profiles Dr. Kevin Cullen and Dr. Silke Niederhaus on why they chose to pursue careers in medicine. There is also an in-depth feature article on the University of Maryland Brain Bank.
