Nurses at UMMC joining hands

Nurses serve. At the University of Maryland, we think Nursing should serve nurses too.

At the University of Maryland Medical Center, nurses at both our Downtown and Midtown Campuses deliver compassionate patient- and family-centered care in an environment of clinical excellence.

In all inpatient and ambulatory settings, our nurses have access to transformational professional opportunities through our professional advancement model, fellowships and strong academic partnership with UM School of Nursing.

Two Campuses, One Team

Having the two campuses under one leadership means our nurses have access to far-ranging opportunities. Nursing at Midtown provides a more intimate experience of working at a smaller facility. The Downtown Campus, as a large academic medical center, offers an array of clinical specialties.

At UMMC Downtown, our three Magnet designations reflect our commitment to excellence. Now that nursing has been integrated across both campuses, the two locations are working collaboratively towards our next Magnet designation.
