Cutting edge technology is used to provide each patient with the innovations available to treat their specific problem. Minimally invasive arthroscopic shoulder and elbow surgery provides patients with a faster recovery, less pain and improved function. With regards to shoulder and elbow replacement surgery, experience can never be replaced. Our team gives these patients with arthritic shoulders and elbows the opportunity to once again live and work in a fuller capacity.

Our basic science and clinical research is aimed at providing newer surgical techniques and following the outcomes in these patients to strive to ever improve on their functional status.

UM Orthopaedics' Shoulder and Elbow Program offers affiliated occupational and physical therapists (Kernan Physical Therapy) specially trained in rehabilitation of the shoulder and elbow prior to and after surgical reconstruction. Their focused efforts allow our elite level athletes, weekend warriors and entire patient population to reach their goals.
