Associates Program
The University of Maryland School of Medicine established the Associates
Program in 1994 to recognize the valuable contributions community- based
colleagues make to programs in education, research and patient care. The Associates
Program provides members with a series of benefits, including:
- Free parking at the University of Maryland Medical Center for use when attending
educational programs and visiting the Health
Sciences and Human Services Library
- Free use of the OVID Web Gateway literature search system, which employs
the National Library of Medicine databases, from your home or office computer
- Medical journal article retrieval service from the University of Maryland
Health Sciences and Human Services Library at the faculty discount rate
- Wall plaque announcing membership
- Press release announcing membership, if desired
- Listing in Associates Program directory
- Dedicated information and service phone line for information, consultation
and continuing education
- Free subscription to University Medical News
- Free subscription to The Bulletin, the quarterly magazine of the Medical
Alumni Association
Physicians are nominated for membership in the Associates Program by the faculty
of the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
