A little about myself. . .
I am from Baltimore, Maryland. I received my undergraduate degree in biophysics from Johns Hopkins University and master's degrees from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. I did several years of bench research at Hopkins before deciding I wanted to go into medicine. I attended medical school at Albany Medical School in New York. My professional interests are in treating the underserved and evidence-based medicine.
I was drawn to the University of Maryland because it provides me an opportunity to work in my home town with a population about which I care deeply. Also, knowing I wanted to do Med/Peds, I was particularly impressed with University of Maryland's experience and facility with combined programs.
In my spare time I enjoy southern gothic literature, trash TV, and dogs.
