A little about myself. . .

I have lived in New York my entire life; I was born and raised in Albany and moved to Buffalo for college. I received a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences and then went back to school after graduating to finish my B.A. in Spanish. After studying abroad in Seville, Spain I worked for a year before starting medical school doing research in Pediatric Endocrinology, as a data collector in the Emergency Department and as a program director for Hillel. With the exception of a few study abroad breaks (I also did international rotations in Ecuador and Costa Rica during medical school) I have lived in Buffalo for the past 10 years. I received an excellent undergraduate and medical education there and fell in love with the die-hard sports fans, the weather (yes, I LOVE snow!) and the wonderful friends I made. The welcoming residents and staff of UMMC Pediatrics have made me look forward to a new chapter in my life.

In my free time I enjoy volleyball, yoga, hiking, cooking and traveling. I love learning to cook new things and recently have taken an interest in cooking vegetarian food. For my next trip I would like to go to Peru and hike the Inca Trail. I am unsure of what I would like to do for a career after residency and I am interested in Global Health.
