Robert J. Habicht, M.D.Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Program Director
Dr. Habicht is a former graduate and Chief Resident at the University of Maryland Med-Peds Program. He currently serves as Program Director for the Med-Peds Program and as a hospitalist in both the Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Departments. He is actively involved in resident and student teaching, development of the Med-Peds Program and network, and clinical patient safety research. Dr. Habicht is the recipient of multiple resident and faculty teaching awards since starting at Maryland and is a member of AOA as well as the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He currently serves as President of the Greater Baltimore Area Chapter of the Society of Hospital Medicine and as a council member for the Maryland Chapter of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Habicht is enthusiastically committed to the academic and professional development of the Med-Peds residents and program.
