A little bit about myself...

Welcome to the University of Maryland! A little about myself....I was born and raised in the midwest, growing up in Madison, Wisconsin. I have an older brother who is a physical therapist in Wisconsin and a younger sister who is a lawyer (no jokes please) in California. I attended medical school at Drexel University in Philadelphia which is where I met my wife. We were married in August of 2008 and 1 year later are ecstatic to announce the birth of our beautiful baby girl, Aasha! My other interests include cooking, enjoying/trying new foods, traveling, playing basketball at a local gym with other residents (and attendings!), as well as golfing. Being at the University of Maryland these past 3 years has been an amazing experience. I can honestly say I have seen some of the most interesting cases here and have no doubt that after my training, I will be ready to practice anywhere. I have really grown to appreciate training in an environment with such a diverse patient population. It has not only made me a better physician, but also has fostered an awareness as a patient advocate. After completing residency, I plan on becoming a medicine and pediatric hospitalist.
