A little bit about myself...

Born and raised in rural western Connecticut, now living in the height of suburbia, Columbia, MD. I was the product of an anything but routine childhood with my brother Justin who is now living in the woods of Maine. Whether it was running through the woods with our dogs or trying to figure out why our father never read the manual about keeping your guns locked and separated from the ammunition, we never did seem to slow down.

The confusing course of my studies led me to an International Studies and Sociology major at Stonehill College in Mass. It also took me on trips to Europe, India and Africa. The last of which saw me get stuck on a 3 week all German-speaking tour of South Africa where I learned the art of fire breathing (I'm not kidding) and sky-diving. I ended up back in the US taking courses to get me into med school at Tufts University in Boston. After another fantastic 4 years in Boston life, (Sox, Pats, and all), I followed my wife down to the Maryland area so that we could start residency.

I have currently been elected "class project" as my fellow residents have seen fit to adopt me now that the Navy has sent my wife Candice to Okinawa, Japan for the year. She was a pediatric resident at Bethesda Naval Hospital but now will be taking care of the Marines for the next year. I will be doing my best to work the system to get to Okinawa on both elective and vacations throughout the year.

Other associated interests include basketball with Rob and rest of the hospital, hiking, watching sci-fi and other associated bad television, enjoying the company of good friends and beating Chris at anything Wii related.
