Sarah was raised in the Maryland area and completed her undergraduate training at the University of Maryland, College Park, graduating with a B.S. in cellular and molecular biology and genetics. She then completed her medical school training at University of Maryland School of Medicine. She joined the University of Maryland Med-Peds Program in 2009 and is the current Chief Resident for the Med-Peds Program. She will be pursuing a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Boston Children's Hospital in 2013 with plans to continue her subspecialty training in adult congenital heart disease.
