A little bit about myself...

I was born in Pakistan.  When I was in the 2nd grade, my family moved to Karachi, one of the biggest cities in Pakistan.  At that time, my grandfather, a distinguished physician, moved with us to help the poor population in the rural areas of Karachi.  At that time, I used to go with him and see him treating patients with passion and complete dedication.  I feel in love with medicine at that time.  Pursuing medicine as a career was simple thereafter.

I got married and moved to the U.S.  Since then, I have been living in Maryland and had 2 beautiful children. 

I was fortunate enough to join Dr. Fasano's lab.  I was able to pursue my career.  Since I had my kids, I wanted to become a pediatrician.  I realize how much a joy kids can bring to your life.  They are the most precious possession.

I fell in love with the University of Maryland because the program is so strong - excellent faculty, a wide range of patients and diseases.  It is my dream come true.
