A little bit about myself...
I am originally from St. Louis, Missouri but my family moved frequently during my childhood (mostly between California, Missouri, andVirginia). I ultimately ended up at the University of Virginia for undergrad and George Washington University for medical school, which is where I met my husband! On the interview trail, we both fell in love with the University of Maryland. The moment we stepped in the hospital, we were amazed how happy and friendly people are; nurses, staff, physicians, and even patients are always smiling and saying hello. We (along with our 6 year-old yellow lab) are thrilled to be here!
Everyone in the peds program has been so welcoming and supportive of all of us. My co-interns are amazing and I can't say enough good things about them. The attendings here are very knowledgeable and there is a heavy emphasis on teaching, which was something that led me toMaryland in the first place.
