A little bit about myself...
I was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone (west coast of Africa). My family and I moved to the United States when I was 13. We settled in Shaker Heights, OH, where I finished high school. I attended Agnes Scott College (all women's college) for my undergraduate degree then moved back to Ohio (University of Toledo College of Medicine) for medical school.
I chose the University of Maryland for residency because the Peds residents were pleasant, approachable and welcoming. The faculty were also approachable and seemed interested in teaching. I currently live in downtown Baltimore and I love it (the shops, malls botiques, and of course, the Inner Harbor)!! I am missing my cat but she will be joining me soon.
My goal is to do a fellowship in Gastroenterology and I am certain that my residency at Maryland will prepare me for this feat.
