- The top three cosmetic surgery procedures are liposuction, breast augmentation, and eyelid surgery. The frequency of these three surgeries increased 25 percent in one year, with close to 50,000 women having had one or more of these surgeries performed in 1999.
- Since 1992, cosmetic surgery has increased 175 percent.
- Since 1992, reconstructive plastic surgery has increased 10 percent.
- Liposuction surgery has increased 34 percent since 1998.
- Breast augmentation surgery increased 26 percent in 1999.
- Eyelid surgery has increased 18 percent since 1998.
