

Dr. Silverman is an associate professor of surgery in the University of Maryland School of Medicine and chief of the division of plastic surgery. Dr. Silverman has experience in facial and nasal reconstruction, skin cancer resection, burn reconstruction, complex wound management, general reconstructive surgery, as well as facial and breast cosmetic surgery. He maintains a clinical and research interest in skin cancer resection and facial/nasal reconstruction and is currently involved in research projects focused on tissue engineering for reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Silverman is also a member of the Kernan Hospital Cleft Lip and Palate team. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where he was awarded the Wayne W. Babock prize for outstanding performance in surgery, Dr. Silverman completed his plastic surgery residency at Harvard/Massachusetts General Hospital, where he gained an extensive experience in both cosmetic as well as reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Silverman is an expert in minimally invasive cosmetic surgery, facial cosmetic surgery, and breast and body contouring.

Michael R. Christy, M.D., M.A.
Dr. Christy is an assistant professor of surgery in the University of Maryland School of Medicine and a member of the trauma plastic surgery team at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. Dr. Christy's special interests include microsurgical reconstruction, hand sugery and perforator flaps.
Dr. Christy received his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine. He completed both general surgery and plastic surgery residencies at the Mount Sinai Medical Center and fellowships in hand surgery and microsurgery at the University of Southern California and hand surgery at the Southern California Orthopaedic Institute.

Dr. Gastman is an assistant professor of surgery and otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Gastman's special interests in microvascular surgery, including trauma and cancer reconstruction, head and neck cancer surgery as well as all areas of cosmetic surgery.
He received his medical degree at the University of Michigan School of Medicine in 1996. His postdoctoral training included a residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. While in residency he was awarded the position of a 2-year NIH postdoctoral fellow. His research won a number of local and national awards and multiple publications and grants. He then completed a fellowship in head and neck microvascular surgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Finally, he completed a full residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.

Dr. Rodriguez is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and Chief of Plastic Surgery at the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center. Dr. Rodriguez's areas of special interest include Designer Microsurgical Perforator Flap Reconstruction of Face, Breast, Abdomen and Limbs; Maxillofacial Reconstructive Surgery; Designer Microsurgery and Composite Tissue Transplantation.
Dr. Rodriguez received his medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia, and his dental degree (D.D.S.) at the New York University College of Dentistry. He completed residencies in anesthesiology at Jackson Memorial Hospital/VA Medical Center, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine and General Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Singh is an assistant professor of surgery in the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Columbia University, and completed a combined general surgery and plastic surgery residency at Yale University.
Dr. Singh's special interests include facial cosmetic surgery, breast reconstruction including microsurgical techniques required for perforator flaps, breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast lifting, liposuction, injectable cosmetic medicine, endoscopic carpal tunnel release, and body contouring after massive weight loss. His original scientific research on body contouring was presented at national meetings, and he was awarded the Yale Plastic Surgery Research Prize for developing a new approach to treat obstructive nasal air passages during rhinoplasty (nose surgery).
