Neurorehabilitation
University of Maryland Medical Center Neurorehabilitation offers rehabilitation services in an acute care setting. Medically stable patients progress to inpatient rehabilitation/outpatient therapy services.
Patient Conditions
- Stroke
- Trauma
- Post-infectious neurological disorders
- Post-traumatic neurological disorders
- Multiple sclerosis
Admission Criteria
- Requiring hospitalization
- Medically stable enough to participate in therapies
Services
- Neurodiagnostic and neuropsychological testing services
- IVs and monitoring
- Physical therapy
- Occupational therapy
- Speech pathology
- Neuropsychological services
- Social work services
- Coordination with outpatient therapy after discharge
Special Programs
- Head injury
- Spinal cord injury
- Multiple sclerosis
