Post-Acute Services

Neurorehabilitation

University of Maryland Medical Center Neurorehabilitation offers rehabilitation services in an acute care setting. Medically stable patients progress to inpatient rehabilitation/outpatient therapy services.

Patient Conditions

Stroke
Trauma
Post-infectious neurological disorders
Post-traumatic neurological disorders
Multiple sclerosis

Admission Criteria

Requiring hospitalization
Medically stable enough to participate in therapies

Services

Neurodiagnostic and neuropsychological testing services
IVs and monitoring
Physical therapy
Occupational therapy
Speech pathology
Neuropsychological services
Social work services
Coordination with outpatient therapy after discharge

Special Programs

Head injury
Spinal cord injury
Multiple sclerosis
