Many women have no problems with pregnancy other than the normal discomforts. Others, however, experience more serious complications that need immediate attention. You may hear your situation referred to as "high risk," and that simply means that if you had certain medical conditions before you were pregnant or had a complication during your pregnancy, you and your baby will be monitored more closely. It is extremely important that you stay in close contact with your doctor and call immediately if you experience any warning signs. Early diagnosis of a problem is important for your health and the baby's health.
